مهدی اصغری گفت: هیچ فیلمی در تاریخ وجود ندارد که همه مخاطبان را راضی نگه دارد و این فیلم با این قصه و ماجرا مخاطب‌های ویژه تری دارد.
به گزارش گروه فرهنگ و هنر خبرگزاری دانشجو، علی لدنی تهیه کننده فیلم «ماریا» در نشست خبری جشنواره فیلم فجر اظهار داشت: یادمان نرود ما فرهنگی غنی و هویت بخش داریم و در فیلم فرهنگ‌های بومی را سعی کردیم نشان دهیم
وی افزود: موضوع فیلم موضوع روز جامعه ما بود و درگیری بین سنت و مدرنیته موضوعی بود که در فیلم به آن پرداختیم

در ادامه این نشست خبری، مهشید خدادی، بازیگر فیلم «ماریا» گفت: فیلم ماریا اولین فیلم من است و در اول مسیر هستم؛ فعلا باید یاد بگیرم.
وی افزود: بازی در این فیلم برای من خیلی خوش شانسی بزرگ بود و در تمام طول ساخت فیلم تلاش کردم خودم را به افراد بزرگ حاضر در فیلم برسانم.
